History Side Note

Prior to the 1984 Vietnam Interment, there stood a plaque on the plaza to let all visitors to Tomb of the Unknown Soldier know that the ongoing search for an unknown from the Vietnam war yielded no results. After the Vietnam unknown interment in 1984 that plaque was removed of course, with its whereabouts unknown for many decades.

The curator of Arlington National Cemetery still has that plaque in their possession somewhere in the cemetery. It is our hope that we are able to locate this item and potentially make it available for the 2023 Society Reunion.
